Reading Experience: Enta Habibi by Reetwika Bannerjee

“Enta Habibi” is a beautiful book written by Reetwika Bannerjee. It compiles five beautiful stories which depict different shades and forms of love. There is a story which tells about vengeful love and another one narrates betrayal in love. Then, there is this story which talks about immoral love. Ms. Banerjee has entwined the theme of her stories with Colour Wheel Theory of Love proposed by John Lee. She juxtaposes the colours Blue, Red, Black, Grey and Pink which depict different forms of romance as in – Emerging Love, Failure in Love, Betrayals in Love, Immoral Love and Sweet and Sour Love via the stories “Man of the Tournament”, “Miles Apart”, “Haunted Refuge at Itachuna Royal Palace”, “Two Onions and A Skull” and “Love Just Happened” respectively.
